about me
Hi everyone! I'm Zoha, a junior majoring in Computer Science and minoring in English/Comparative Literature. I grew up mostly in Southern California, but as of recently, I call Cambridge, MA, home.
This year, I served on the Engineering Student Council Executive Board as Vice President for Policy. My work spearheaded successful initiatives including: study-abroad-guides outlining city/program options for all engineering departments, major-by-major; Mental Health training advocacy through JED Foundation committees and Mental Health Task Force; and on-campus wellness vending machines – debuting this spring (!!!) – to dispense 24-7, discounted, accessible health products, including emergency contraception.
On campus, I've been involved with SEAS 2019 Class Council, Club Zamana, Mental Health Task Force, Mental Health Coalition, University Health Insurance Advisory Committee, Student Health Advisory Committee, Capital Investment Fund, Joint Council Cosponsorship Committee, and various literary publications. Beyond Columbia, I've also quite extensively written on and discussed issues, policies, and resource reform – regarding technology, women’s health, gender, race, religion, intersectional equity, suicide, and administrative-mishandling – in CNN, Teen Vogue, VICE, The Boston Globe, The United State of Women, and more.

I'd like to think I am a #runner, though during my alleged "athletic" time, you can usually find me with a scraped knee or rolled ankle somewhere in Riverside Park. I carry a container of red pepper chili flakes in my backpack, so that I'm never ill-prepared for a woefully bland meal... My favorite app is Duolingo, as can be evidenced by my slightly extra streak on it of 611 days (and counting).
